Orchard Hills Neighborhood Association
is committed to enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhood.

It is a voluntary membership organization, founded in 2001, which exists to make this neighborhood a safer and better place to live. This is accomplished through an elected board of directors. These are voluntary positions, renewed every two years at our annual meeting. Residents are encouraged to participate in monthly planning meetings. The boundaries of the Association are from Overhill Drive south to Kingsley Road and Saturn Road east to Glenbrook Drive in the city of Garland, Texas.

Our accomplishments are:
– Street repairs and improvements
– Sidewalk repairs
– Alley improvements
– Drainage system improvements
– Crime watch programs
– Lower crime rates
– Assistance to senior citizens
– Annual community events
– Flower beds

Our Methods Are:

Neighborhood safety through crime watch and prevention. We work with the Garland Police Department’s neighborhood patrols in reporting and preventing crimes of suspicious behavior.

Neighborhood representation to the city government and to our city representative, the city councilman of District 5, of which we are a part.

Community activities Five annual events include; OHNA Annual Meeting, Plant Sale, Picnic, Garage Sale and Holiday Party.

Neighborhood Communication through our website, Facebook, quarterly newsletters, email and event flyers.

Neighborhood education through the city of Garland’s wealth of information on: code reinforcement, severe weather response, fire prevention, crime prevention, landscaping ideas and neighborhood management classes.
