This is a very bitter sweet notification to you all, but I have been blessed with a very unique opportunity to serve the residents of Garland as the new Community Relations Officer / Public Information Officer.  I joke to people that I must have done such a good job that they wanted me to become the NPO for the entire city!  I wanted to let you know that I have had so much fun and truly love the residents of your neighborhood.  The amount of care and support all of you gave to me was felt and very much appreciated.  Your neighborhood is such a great and close group of people and I am so fortunate to have been able to be a part of your lives for the past few years.  My position will take a few weeks to have a permanent Officer put in place, but in the meantime, Officer Morillos will be handling the day to day operations for your neighborhood.  His email address is  morillosj@garlandtx.gov  and his phone number is 972-205-2980.  I want to stay involved in the community events that you all hold and will continue to get you any help or support that you need.  I will remain active for your neighborhood until your permanent Officer is announced to ensure this transition is as smooth as possible.
